Scott graduated with High Honors from the Graphics and Packaging Program at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA in 1997. Scott won the national BDA scholarship in which he competed against entries from across the country. Prior to graduating, he landed a position as designer at 3 Ring Circus. 3 Ring took him under their wing and Scott continued to grow there for over six years, working on projects from concept to completion for clients such as HBO, TBS, FOX, CNN, TBS, Starz, DirecTV, Sony, WPLG and the Scandinavian network Viasat. Scott moved to New York in 2002. There, he began his bi-coastal career and designed and lead projects from show packages to network rebrands. Scott spent months at a time working at places such as Riot, Troika, Leroy + Clarkson, Brand New School, Motion Theory, Trollbäck, Ramon & Pedro, The Ebeling Group, and most recently, Scott was a Creative Director with his good friends at Loyalkaspar.
Just five months ago, Scott joined forces with his comrade Justin Meredith to form Thornberg & Forester in New York City. To date, they have completed projects for TMN, and for non-profits Conservation International and The Clinton Global Initiative. They are currently finishing two series of live action promos and commercials for TBS as well as a music video for Northern Room. Scott also recently designed CD packaging for Joey McIntyre’s (yes, Joey McIntyre) “Talk to Me” and Adam Levy’s “Washing Day”. Together, Scott and Justin plan to pursue their common vision that is based in [their] humor and hope to make a dent in the commercial world.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Justin Meredith has designed/directed many award-winning projects for such diverse clients as: Nike, Fidelity Mutual, Microsoft, Nissan, Nickelodeon, Sony, MTV, TBS, TNT, the Sopranos and Conservation International. Justin attended the Savannah College of Art and Design with high honors in their Motion Graphic and Graphic Design Program. During his last year at SCAD, Justin landed an intern position with Trollbäck + Company, where he was later hired as a designer. After his stay with Trollbäck, he took a position as Art Director with The Ebeling Group under the label Convert. Currently, Justin is a Creative Director at Thornberg & Forester which he started with business partner Scott Matz. Justin is working on a large-scale web branding project, two series of network live action promos and commercials, finishing a music video, and developing content for a television series. Justin and Scott continue to move toward their goal of writing and producing pieces where off-beat humor and serious branding based work will be developed under the same roof.
